To delete your browsing history in Safari

follow these steps:
1. Make sure the Menu Bar is showing. (File * Edit * View * History * Bookmarks * Windows * Help) If it's not, click on the SETTINGS icon in the upper right-hand corner of Safari (cogged wheel). Click on SHOW MENU BAR.
2. From the Menu Bar, click on HISTORY.
3. On the HISTORY menu, choose CLEAR HISTORY.
4. In the new window, put a checkmark in the ALSO RESET TOP SITES, if you want to delete them as well.
5. Click the CLEAR button.
6. Close all Safari windows you have open.
