It’s Word Of Mouth

Do you own a small business or administer an organization? If you do, one place to advertise is Facebook because of the large number of users on this Social Media platform. (In the fourth quarter of 2018, 1.52 billion active users visited the social network on a daily basis.) We advertise there all the time – not just for our business but for the businesses who are our clients. Yes, we handle the Social Media for a number of businesses and organizations. We work hard to help them get the most out of their advertising dollars. (You can hire us to help your business or group, too! Just call us at 772-408-4425 and we’ll tell you how we can be of assistance.)

Today, though, I’m going to focus on something that can really help your small business or organization on Facebook without you spending any advertising dollars. If you use Facebook, you’re familiar with “Liking” a post. You may also be aware of the “Share” icon. Perhaps you’ve even used it. The share button is a great way to spread the word without spending any money.

Let’s look at a recent post we did for Port Saint Lucie High School Drama:

Notice the 20 shares we’ve circled. This post reach 4443 people and 1,035 of them engaged with the post – either by liking the post, sharing it or clicking on the photo. Those are great numbers for a post that was NOT boosted – meaning we didn’t spend a penny.

For your organization or business, getting your members/employees to share your posts is a great way of exposing a post without spending a dime. Try it!
