In the last two posts, I shared information about Office 365 apps. Today, I want to mention another Microsoft app that is technically part of Office 365 and Office 2019 but is actually a free app available through the Microsoft Store – OneNote. It’s one of the most under-used Microsoft apps yet it’s one of the most versatile.
I use OneNote every day. It’s a great app for keeping all your notes related to each other together. It works like this: you create Notebooks, like the physical notebook binders you might use. Next, you can create sections – again, as you might do with a binder. (Example: a binder with a section for each month of the year.) Then, inside the sections you can create as many pages as you want.
On each page, you have a ton of ways to store notes. You can type a note, use your microphone and create an audio note, use your camera and create a video note, draw all the page and use highlighting, add a file or picture from your computing device onto the page and you can even save a screen clipping to it.
One of my favorite features of OneNote is that there is no SAVE button! Everything you do is saved automatically. And, it’s store in the cloud (once you set that up) so you can have all your notes on all of your devices.
Microsoft as an awesome help center for OneNote! The best part is, it’s free! Why not take a look now and get started. Click HERE.
