If you’ve been a customer or friend for a long time, you know that we always recommend you turn off your computer at least once a week. This allows the RAM (memory) to defrag and your computer will run faster once that happens.
You might wonder, as others have, should you do the same thing with your smartphone? After all, a smartphone is really a computer that makes phone calls, right?
On paper, the “turn off once a week” rule should apply to smartphones as well. However, if you’re like me, you probably don’t do that. What I do is wait – wait until my smartphone starts doing “funky” things or freezes up. When that happens, I turn it off, leave it off for a few minutes, then restart. That always fixes my issue!
In conclusion, if you’re more of a list-checker than I am, you might consider turning off your smartphone once a week. Otherwise, just wait for it to stop working properly and then shut down.
