There are so many places to see and events to attend in this world! For most of us, we aren’t in a position (often it’s the cost that holds us back) to explore and get to personally see all that we wish we could. Just when it seemed like we might be trapped inside our own small area of the planet, along comes the Internet!
Thanks to modern technology, webcams now abound online. We can see live streaming from places nearby and from the other side of the world. For instance, in the live stream above, we’re watching the fish at the Deerfield Beach pier about 75 minutes south of Keystone Computer Concepts. In the next video, you can watch planes at Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC. While you’re watching, you can also hear the tower.
Of course, you can’t know me without knowing I’d have to include a train webcam. Here it is:
My last webcam on this post is from Venice, Italy.
I hope I’ve wet your whistle when it comes to exploring the world through webcams. We haven’t even touched the surface on this post. Before I give you some links to webcam lists, here are some things to keep in mind:
- Not all webcams are online 24 hours a day.
- Even during times when a webcam normally is online, it can go down or “freeze” because of Internet conditions, weather, etc.
- Be careful when you’re looking for webcams – hackers love to try to fool you into going to a page from search that isn’t good.
- Some webcams will offer more camera views if you subscribe to their service. Make sure those sites are legitimate before you enter any credit card info. Look for secure sites with the locked padlock and https:// in the address.
- Webcams are fun but like games and Social Media, they can become addictive. Use your time wisely!
Here are a few webcam indexes and individual cams you can use:
