Sometimes, when I’m pricing a new Windows computer for someone, they will cringe at the price. They think anything over $299 is outrageous! Well, after Apple’s WWDC annual conference this week, no more complaining about Windows PC prices is allowed!

Apple announced the new Mac Pro computer will be priced at…wait for it… $5,999! And guess what? That’s without a monitor! If you want the monitor Apple recommends, you’ll need to spend another $4,999 for that! By the way, the $5,999 is the lowest price for the Mac Pro. If you add more memory, etc., the price goes up!

Yes, it’s true. Few home users would be buying the Mac Pro. It’s really designed for professionals in the graphic, audio and/or video fields. Still, that’s a lot of money to spend for a computer, don’t you think?

Lots of things were announced at the conference including iOS 13 which will affect iPhones, etc. I’ll be covering some of the other announcements later this week right here in the blog.
