iOS 13

iOS 13 slide from Apple WWDC 2019

In my post of June 4, 2019 – No More Complaining – I mentioned that I’d post other things besides Mac Pro that happened this year at Apple’s WWDC conference. One of those announcements was regarding iOS 13 and here are some of the features:

Dark Mode – iOS 13 is going to bring new features to your iPhone. There’s going to be a “dark mode” which should help you use reduce eye strain when you’re using your phone in dark surroundings. Plus, it looks cool!

Swipe The Keyboard – I’m not a great texter by the “one-key-at-a-time” method but I’m pretty good at swiping the keyboard to get the words I want. Up until now, I had to add the Google Keyboard to allow this to happen. Starting with iOS 13, however, this feature will be built-in. This is long overdue!

New Photo Tools & Changes – iOS 13 brings you some new photo editing tools plus the Photo App will automatically organize your photos by year, month and day. Additionally, live videos and photos play as you scroll.

Siri gets a new voice – Apple is changing Siri in the hopes of making her sound more human – smoother speech and fewer pauses.

Lots of other new features – There’s a long list of other new features including new font support, the ability to add attachments to your calendar and smaller updates to apps.

I’ll post some videos once iOS 13 launches which should be in the early fall.
