This past Friday, we took Gus to the Vet for his yearly checkup and shots. Unlike some dogs, Gus actually likes going to the Vet. He fusses all over the staff including the Vet himself.
Besides getting his yearly checkup, we always purchase Gus’ dog license at the same time. This year, instead of the old blue, metal licenses that have been used for years, we were issued the new, nice license. Above you see the front of the license. On the back, there’s a number and a QR code. Here’s a picture of the back although I’ve hidden Gus’ code and I’ve greyed out the QR code.

Once you register your license number with PetHub, if your pet is found and is wearing his or her tag, it can be scanned and your information obtained. Also, if police or animal control need to make sure you’ve got a current license for your pet, they just scan the tag.
Pet licenses – add them to the “you can’t do this without a computer” category! 🙂
