
Think back before personal computers and the Internet. When disasters occurred, it could be days or weeks before information got out to others about whatever was happening. In this day and age, the Internet speeds up “getting information out” to those not in the affected area.
Here in Florida, we know all about hurricanes and wild fires, too. When these things happen here, we appreciate all those from across the country who pitch in to help us. When we see what is happening in California, we have empathy. Many of us want to help. The question is: who can you trust? In which organizations or groups can you feel confident that your donations will go to the proper venue?
