It can happen any time of the year but the holiday season seems to bring out more package thieves than usual. I talked about this subject at our seminar this past Saturday but it’s important enough to pass on the info to everyone.
Our kids in Austin belong to a neighborhood group which has it’s own website. Through this site, neighbors can report missing dogs, upcoming block parties and unusual activity. Well, recently, one member post the description of a car and the driver he had seen in the neighborhood. This person had a lot of packages in his back seat so the guy followed him. He saw him go up to a house porch and then come back to his car. Unfortunately, the “package” guy was too far away for the man to his if the guy left a package or took a package. But, he wanted his neighbors to be on the alert. He also passed his information on to the police so they could have a look, too.
Here in Port Saint Lucie, we have a webpage called “Nextdoor” and there various things are posted – Bobcat sightings, things for sale, etc. If you belong to a community that offers this type of web service, I strongly urge you to sign up! And keep alert for those package thieves!
