This coming Thursday, June 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. ET, Microsoft will introduce Windows 11. Or, will it? The screenshot above is of a leaked version of the new OS (Operating System). As you can see, the menu is centered. But, will there be any other changes?
Before You Panic
I can already see some of you rolling your eyes and replacing your smiles with looks of fear. Panic not! First, we’re not 100% sure this version of Windows will drop the 10 for an 11. Still, even if it does, there’s no reason to panic over Windows 11. I know, you’re remembering back to the debut of Vista and, later, Windows 8. Granted, those were awful transitions from XP and 7, respectively. As best as anyone can tell, this won’t be the same. Windows 11, if that’s what it’s called, will be more like Windows 10.5. The leaked versions of the new OS would indicate minor changes which you’ll be able to adapt to pretty easily.
Another Reason To Not Panic Over Windows 11
Here at Keystone Computer Concepts, we’ll be helping you through any changes with the new Windows. I’ll have posts right here on this blog. Of course, I’ll be producing YouTube videos for you, also. If you’re a Remote Technical Support customer, Caitlin and Joyce will make sure your computer gets updated when you visit us for your Quarterly Checkup.
Back Up, Back Up, Back Up
Despite my confidence that this new Windows 11 will be an easy upgrade, you should be backing up your data. Of course, you should be backing up your documents, pictures, music, videos, etc. anyway. If you’re not making sure your information is safe, you’re just asking for trouble. If you don’t use online backup already, I highly recommend that you start using Carbonite. I have the program on all of my computers and wouldn’t think of operating one without it. If you already use Carbonite or another online backup, congratulations! Remember, ALL hard drives crash – whether they’re the traditional motor-driven HDD type or the newer SSD (solid state drive) device.

If you need to get started with Carbonite, please click HERE.

Jerry… Most of us hate change or at least struggle with it so I understand people can get worried about these kinds of things. I’m delighted I was able to save you some anxiety! Keep watching the blog and my YouTube channel for Windows 11 updates! ~John
Thanks for the heads up John, much appreciated.
Claudius.
Claudius… You’re more than welcome. There are so many rumors out there about “Windows 11” that I just wanted to share the basics of what we know ahead of the event this Thursday. Take care! ~John
