
Back in September of 2020, in my post 3 Gmail Options You Didn’t Know About, I talked about a couple of Gmail settings. In reality, I barely touched the surface. With that in mind, we’re going to look at more Gmail Settings. Yes, I know everyone doesn’t use Gmail but a ton of our customers and readers do, thus this series.
Getting To Gmail Settings
The first thing you need to know is how to get to the Gmail Settings. When you open Gmail, click on the Settings icon in the upper right-hand corner. (Circled in red below.)

Next, choose More Settings. (Circled in yellow below.)

Usually, Gmail Settings will open on the General tab. That’s where we’re going to look today.

The View
Let’s look at the very top of the General tab – the view. There’s a new view (which I’m using) and the original view. Check and see which you are using, then switch to the other one and look at the difference. By the way, you’ll need to scroll down to the bottom and hit the Save Changes button before anything happens. The difference you’ll see will be in the left-hand column of Gmail. Try it for yourself and in Part 2 I’ll show the results to make sure you did it right! LOL
Gmail Settings: Language And Phone Numbers
The next two items down are pretty self-explantory. Choose your langauge and default country code for making phone calls.
Maximum Page Size
You have a choice as to how many emails you want to see on a page. This setting is a drop-down menu and you can pick 10, 15, 20, 25, 50 or 100 emails one a page. Some people handle small numbers of emails at a time, others like as many as possible on a page.
Undo Send
I actually covered this one in the September 2020 post but it’s an easy one so I’ll explain again. This, too, is a drop-down menu and you can choose how many seconds elapse wherein you can cancel an email you’ve sent. The top number is 30 seconds. I do wish Google would up that to 60 seconds. This delay in sending gives you a chance to: 1) cool off and rephrase; 2) correct spelling mistakes.

One og the things I do rather that print the info you send i just take a picture of what you are providing to us.
This way I have until i try and don’t waste paper.
